Why aren’t I ‘living the dream’ or getting as much out of life as possible?
So at the minute im on track to go to uni etc, with hope to become a director, producer or any job in the television/film industry. But, is that really what I want to do? I don’t even know!

So we enter the mind of Chris, what’s his dream? … Honestly? I want to live in a house on a beach, somewhere nice, preferably Hawaii. I could learn how to surf there, something I would love to do, but can’t really do, living quite far from a decent beach with good surf.

Maybe I could open a business there, nothing huge, just a small nice business. Maybe a bar, a clothing shop, a beach shack? Maybe even a little cafe. Anything to keep me going. I’ve studied business for pretty much 4 years now. I’m sure it could be done, right? Okay a little time and effort would be needed but hey, it can’t be all that difficult, right?

Anyone reading this is going to be thinking something along the lines of  ’keep dreaming’ or ‘has Chris lost it?’
But all I want from life is to be happy. Life’s too short to be wasting time being unhappy!

Maybe this is all a bit too much. I’m only 17 years old.  I’ve a lot left to do, a lot left to experience, a lot left to learn about. Is it normal to dream about something to the extent that you actually want to just pack up and chase the dream? I really don’t know. My minds such a mess at the minute. I have so much to do, so much to plan, organise, sort out. Ahhhhh!

I think what i’m going to do is go to university, enjoy that. Then see what happens from there?
Who knows, I could use this as a back up plan in case the media orientated career goes downhill, or maybe even as a retirement plan? …
Jesus Chris, planning you’re retirement. Talk about long shot.
But hey, it could happen. Who knows?

Well, one big thing that’s happened to me would be passing my driving test! Yay!
On 17th March this happened. 4 weeks ago tomorrow

It’s quite strange how much my life has changed if im honest. I have so much more freedom now! I can get out more and visit more places! It’s nice not having to rely on someone else for it all to be honest, and I don’t mean that in a nasty way. Like I said, more freedom.
I’ve been in my car quite a lot over the past few weeks. Todays trip was to Leeds to visit Ian and Sue.
Fun fun fun!

I now have a much better social life too. Always a benefit! haha.
I’m not saying’ I never got out before.. But it wasn’t exactly that often.

This is him pre-scrape/gash/scratch/dint all down his right side. Oh dear!
I’ve actually had the car since last May, but now, I can drive him on my own as much as I want.

Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman

Above you’ll see Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, those names send chills down my spine every time I hear them. You may or may not remember the Soham murder case where Murderer and general twat Ian Huntley murdered these two girls.

The recent hype in the news about Huntley being attacked yet again by an inmate got me thinking..

Well.. my point is that in my opinion, capital punishment should be brought back. For the very people who commit such crimes as above.

Human rights, blah blah, whatever. I don’t give a shit. These people choose to end others lives, what happened to the victims rights? Oh wait. They’re dead, they don’t have any. Why should people such as Ian be allowed to take a persons rights away? to take their lives away? They shouldnt. In my opinion this is a case where death is best for the murdering bastard.

Lets give some dignity, I don’t agree with such methods as the electric chair or hanging, they’re just too messy. Lets go for lethal injection, a slow drug perhaps. Let the person go through the emotional and physical pain that they caused in their victims and their families/friends. Let them know what it feels like.

Although, it’s a shame that we wouldn’t be allowed to stone them or something.

During a conversation with my mum, she told me an interesting thing about someone. No I wont say who or what. But then when I asked her where she had heard said thing, she replied with “I heard it on Facebook.”

This got me thinking, has the online age ruined our lives? Just slightly?
In my opinion, we’ve become far too reliant on the internet, on technology in general. Whatever happened to verbal communication? To going round to a friend’s house just to talk for a while? Even phone calls! I for one love phone calls, but so little people do nowadays.  Instead? We speak on msn, skype, facebook chat or just texting. I love random phone calls ‘just for a chat!’

It’s kind of sad really, I hardly ever talk to some people face to face anymore. So many old friends that I hardly ever see, just speak to online.

I’m not going to say I don’t love the internet, as you probably would have guessed im.. addicted. Now that IS sad. The internet is a part of my life now. I would even say part of my daily routine. I’ve considered taking an internet break, but held myself back because I just wouldn’t know what to do with myself! I spend so much time online . It’s ridiculous. But hey, the Internets a huge place, there are lots to do/see.

Yet I stay on the same sites all the damn time?

My point is, the way we function has changed. The human race has become so dependant on new technology, we would actually crumble if we suddenly, somehow, ran out of electricity! We would be screwed! Just think about how many electrical appliances you use day in, day out. It’s a lot, isn’t it?

My point is I kinda miss my childhood, christ I sound like im 80 already. But I miss the days we went out to play. We were more active. We were more… real life.

But sadly that way of living has been replaced with what we see today.
But hey, it’s the norm now. So what the hell am I going on about?
I dunno.

Already some of you are probably thinking, “What a loser” or “Why? They don’t do anything.” But it for that reason that they interest me so much. Some people will say that these things are useless, that they are nothing but a con and any activity that happens during a session is just an act of the persons subconscious moving the planchette/pointer. One experiment conducted on a tv show showed that this is “bullshit” as it was said. Here “Questions were being asked to the late William Frawley showing solid “Yes” and “No” answers. The participants were then blindfolded and the board was turned 180 degrees without their knowledge. With continued questioning, the planchette then traveled to bare areas of the board where the participants believed the “Yes” and “No” marks were located, but in fact were not.” (Direct from wikipedia in Scientific Explanation)

Paranormal happenings have always interested me. With that keen question in mind, is it real? I’ve always been curious.

Theres an old family story that says my great granddad was once strangled by a ghost of some sort. My uncle Jimmy came into the room after hearing him struggling etc and found him stood with his hands beneath his neck as if to get the spirit off him. Strange, ay? apparently handprints could be seen on his neck afterwards. I’ve doubted this story a lot as it seems to change as each family member tells it. That and the fact that I was about 8 when first told it, it was probably made up just to scare me. Strange how little things stay in your mind for so long.

But yeah, getting back on topic. Some say that Ouija boards are a way to contact the dead, more often than not, evil spirits or demons. It is written  in various texts that Satan and his demons will use the board ac a way of manipulating a person and use it to control them. An apparent minority say that the board can be used to contact the ‘good’ or regular spirits. If they’re asked for that is. But many websites etc warn to be careful as Satan moonlights as an angel of light, a carer, one of said ‘good’ spirits to manipulate the person and get them addicted to the board, enabling Satan to have more control.. Haha, it sounds like im telling a ghost story. It is stated in many places that this is not a game, but something serious. These are usually words by Christians (No criticism/negativity intended.)

Im so tempted to try using a board for myself. Its something I really want to do. I’ve been advised not to due to other peoples experiences and those of their family members. But this just makes me even more curious. I want to find out for myself what happens during a séance/session. I want to feel what its like to be “possesed” by a demon. I want to have first hand experience in paranormal activity (No im not just speaking because of the film, shut up.)

I think one day I will try out a board for myself, to see what happens. I do believe in the spiritualist world, in ‘ghosts’ and I believe that there is a state between life and death where a person can become stuck for whatever reaon. But i’ve never seen anything of the sort for myself, just the occasional shadow. For example I still swear that every now and again there is some sort of shadow that moves from the bottom of my wall, near my door, to the top, going through the ceiling. This is probably just my mind playing tricks, as various sources have said, the mind may generate these expectations because of what we want to see, resulting in us believing that we do infact see them.

Appologies if this post has bored you. But its something that really interests me

So this is really for those lovely people who are drowned in sorrow and feeling low today. My point is that I don’t want you to feel bad because you’re single.
Relationships aren’t everything theyre cracked up to be. Speaking from experience, love can be the worst thing in the world. It made me feel lower than hell. Sure, that “special someone” can make you feel on top of the world. But trust me, youre friends can make you feel on top of the universe!

Cutting to the chase. Dont be sad today. Celebrate your love. I love a few people, my family, my friends. All for different reasons! I dont have to class myself as being in a relationship to love someone. Love your friends for being your friends! Your family for being your family! Dont say nobody loves you, because they do. I can guarantee that!

So do you really need a rose or a petty card to be happy today?
No.

Lets face it anyway. Is this day really about celebrating love anymore? Or is it just a known commitment for those in relationships to buy things for their partner?
Valentines day is far too commercialised now. It has no proper meaning. The gifts don’t represent love. They represent money badly spent.

I can remember when we first got the internet, it was so damn slow! I don’t think I will ever forget the dial-up connection sound. Oh and unplugging the telephone to use it too! Ahh the memories. I can’t believe that I actually got exited to go online and would sit and wait for the connection! If speeds were like that today im pretty sure I would just explode.

Now the internet is probably a part of my daily routine  if im honest. How geeky/sad is that? Come home. Check email, check twitter, check dailybooth, check blog, check Skype etc etc.
Some I dont have to do when I get home thanks to the genius invention of mobile internet Hurray!
Its kinda sad, but i love it

Compare that to my life as a young kid, I was so much more energetic, sporty, willing and no where near as lazy. I do sometimes miss that sort of lifetime. I still go on walks just to get out for a while, to walk through the woods i used to play in years ago. Where I would just end up covered from head to toe in mud, resulting in my mum going mental, but my dad? “A mucky child is a happy child!”
Too right!

It makes me thing, what would life be like without the internet?
Or even without computers?
OR! What about without electricity?
Scary!
